Why The Russos Are The Best Thing to Happen to the MCU Since Joss Whedon
Some tattoos are clever in content — funny phrases, images that work differently depending on how you look at them or when paired with another — and others are just plain inventive. Case in point: This Popeye tatoo based on everyone’s favorite spinach-eating sailor.
CBR Ink found the image via Boing Boing, who also included a link to a facebook photo where the artist, Alina Fokina, was credited. This tattoo was originally posted in April by Redditor Dre2k, and is based on Eiichiro Oda’s “One Piece” manga which is serialized in “Shonen Jump.” In the piece, protagonist Monkey D. Luffy’s Gear Third form merges with the tattoo owner’s own hand, much like in the manga and its anime counterpart.
